This is a painting i did a few years ago and never quite finished. It was a self assigned illustration for a short story I had read about a teenage boy who runs away from home and lives on the streets of Chicago for a year.
Actually it was called "Where I slept" by Stephen Elliot. It was in a collection of short stories called "The Best American Non-Required Reading 2007".
